Big Mama 16 ans Marsala is a "Demerara Rum", a molasses rum from Guyana. These names have left their mark on the history of rum, with legendary stills such as Port Mourant and Enmore. Although the original distilleries have disappeared, Diamond Distillery continues to perpetuate this heritage.
This rum was distilled in 2003. It was aged in American oak barrels for over 15 years, then placed in Marsala casks, a muté or liqueur wine from Italy. After this maturation, it has aged for a total of 16 years.
