For the 2023 edition of Black Tot Master Blender's Reserve, Oliver Chilton, the master blender, has designed a cuvée close to the Navy style.
Work began with the "perpetual blend", i.e. 19.5% of Black Tot Master Blender's Reserve 2022.
To this, 0.5% of authentic Royal Navy rum was added.
Finally, casks from Trinidad (19%), Barbados (18.3%), Jamaica (9%), Guyana (31.5%) and Grenada (2.7%) took their place in the blend.
This cuvée contains rums aged from 5 to 30 years, as well as a piece of British Navy history.
