Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, we discover a young, fairly light, acidic rhum agricole, surrounded by fruity sweets. It slowly gains in fullness, while reinforcing its round, sweet side. One imagines a crunchy cane like barley sugar.
Aeration reveals more mellow notes, with honey and sweet caramel. The candy is enriched by vanilla and other sweet spices.
On the palate, we're obviously back to our cane sugar candy, still a little tart and vanilla. The pure cane juice still comes through, with a few hints of bark and straw, but above all a pepper that gives it all it's got.
The finish is round, with a hint of pepper.
"A rather light agricultural rum, which is not so common, and which will find its use in cocktails..."
