Breiz'île Punch de Noël is a link between Guadeloupe and Brittany. Inspired by the West Indian tradition of the Christmas shrubb, it combines fresh fruit, spices and agricultural rum. This rum, made from pure Guadeloupe cane juice, is garnished with oranges and fresh pineapple, then spiced with coffee, sweet spices and a homemade syrup.
As an aperitif, dessert or after-dinner drink, it will add warmth to your festive celebrations!
Nico's tasting notes
The nose opens with a lovely, full-bodied, gently spicy sweetness. The orange peel melts into the sweet agricultural rum, to which a good homemade spice syrup would have been added. The spices become stronger with age, balancing the liveliness and roundness.
The palate is soft, but far from overly sweet. There are real flavors of cinnamon and orange, as well as an agricultural rum that takes on the air of coconut sorbet with lime zest.
"The taste is just right, for an arrangement that doesn't fall into the trap of being too sweet..."
