Bristol Grenada 11 years 2003-2014 was distilled at Westerhall Estate in Grenada, the small island state in the south of the West Indies, then aged in a cool, damp cellar in Bristol, England, in ex-bourbon casks, before being bottled in 2014.
Whisky Lodge tasting notes (*)
On the nose, notes of resin, nail polish remover, sage and geranium, with a hint of eucalyptus.
On the palate, Bristol Grenada 2003 is tangy, greedy and fresh. It offers aromas of violets, grapefruit and a hint of aniseed.
"A delicious, complex, subtle and original rum. An unusual and endearing register."
(*) Whisky Lodge is an excellent Lyonnais cellarman who imports the Bristol brand, and who gives us his tasting notes here.
