Captain Morgan Private Stock is a blend of amber rums aged at least 2 years in oak barrels, and macerated in spices and tropical fruits.

In brief: nuts - exotic fruits - vanilla - spices - suave
The nose oscillates between nuts and ripe exotic fruit. Scented with spice and vanilla, it's dynamic and pleasant. Although the sensation is not sweet, the nuts seem quite fatty. The exotic fruits are rich, but also refreshing, giving the rum a cheerful, playful edge. All in all, a well-balanced, well-made rum.
On aeration, it seems sweeter and tangier. The vanilla is suave and gourmand, as are the spices, which are now much more pastry-like. As for the nuts, they haven't changed. They're still fatty and friendly. The ripe exotic fruits add even more roundness and bind the whole together.
On the palate, the spices rush into every nook and cranny. The rum is fruity, exotic and ripe. Different families follow one another in no particular order: water fruits such as melon, coconut, ripe exotic fruits, and even a hint of fresh herbaceousness. When the rum regains a certain cohesion, it gains a classic, rounded register, on vanilla, sugar and grenadine.
The finish has an impression of sweetness and grenadine syrup.
