Cartavio Reserva 8 years is a traditional Spanish molasses rum from Peru.
This rum is aged using the solera method borrowed from Andalusian sherry wines. This process originating from Jerez can be compared to a sort of blend of very old rums. For this vintage, the distillery uses a majority of bourbon barrels.
