Royal Salute 21 years is a blend that consists exclusively of whiskies aged at least 21 years. The aging takes place entirely in oak barrels.
The blend is made by Chivas Brothers, who produce Chivas Regal whisky. The whiskies come from the Strathisla distillery in the heart of Speyside.
This whisky is housed in a sapphire blue bottle, a nod to the stones that adorn the Crown Jewels. It was in fact released for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
