Cihuatan 12 ans Reserva Especial is a rum made in El Salvador from cane syrup and molasses.
This rum has been aged in a solera system for a minimum of 12 years in the Licorera Cihuatan cellars. This aging was carried out in American oak barrels that had previously contained bourbon.
This is an older version of Cihuatan 12 Years Cinabrio rum.
Presented and marketed in 2015, this Reserva Especial cuvée was awarded a double gold medal at the International Rum Conference Madrid in 2016.
