Clément Blanc 55° - 1 liter ! Description and customer reviews

Produced from the freshest sugarcane juice and distilled at low strength, Clément Blanc 55° has preserved a remarkable aromatic richness. This fresh agricultural rum is ideal for traditional ti-punches and other cocktails.

Clément Blanc 55° won a gold medal at the 2009 Paris Agricultural Show.

Nico's tasting notes

A typical citrus nose greets us. It's also lively, reminiscent of freshly cut grass. The hints of alcohol are just under control, on the edge, and bring a floral aspect. The sugarcane juice is there, dry but expressive.
The nose remains fiery and fairly constant, true to cane au naturel. Its vegetal character even brings out a hint of fresh pepper. Finally, after a good aeration, a few notes of fermentation emerge, rounding out this uncompromising profile with a certain salinity. Some notes of very peppery cauliflower remain from this fermentation.

On the palate, the rum is dry, salty, almost smoky. The fresh vegetable character of chili seems to return with a touch of beet. The fiber of the cane comes next, followed by a good pinch of pepper and the bitterness of lime zest.

The finish is greedy, with a hint of cane juice. The pepper is still present and will have left its mark throughout the tasting.

"This white rhum agricole will make a very punchy ti-punch..."

Small gift offered very commercial and appreciable

    A sheer dress.

A classic nose of cane juice. Slight smoky notes.

On the palate, it's the same. We're essentially on cane. Citrus notes are also present. Nice freshness on the palate. No major flaws or heaviness on the palate. However, it lacks complexity.

    A short final.

Nothing transcendent, it's a basic rum for a basic price.

Perfect for a rhum arrangé. It will bring freshness and pep to the maceration and keep the alcohol content around 40%. Otherwise, reserve it for Ti Punch or punch with peanuts or dried fruit. The combination will be perfect.
