This molasses rum from Guyana comes from a single cask casked in 1988.
The rum comes from the Enmore distillery's famous Versailles wooden pot still, which ceased smoking in 1995. It was distilled in 1988 and aged entirely in oak casks in the UK. It was not released until 2022, after 34 years of maturation in a continental climate.

The flavor of Versailles is different, fresh, fruity (apple, pear). A little more dynamism in the flavor is needed. I would like to compare it to El Dorado Versailles cask strength rum.
