Gin Juillet Main de Bouddha is an original creation based on Ferroni's Gin Juillet. Guillaume Ferroni, a great spirits enthusiast, has selected superb and rare citrus fruits. He collaborated with Domaine du Jasson, an olive oil producer in La Londe Les Maures, Var.
Buddha's hand, a spectacular citrus fruit, citron, lemon and sweet orange enter this July fruit basket. They are accompanied by a handful of juniper berries and other spices. The finesse and freshness of these citrus fruits make this gin a very delicate and aromatic spirit.
Florian's tasting notes
Crystal-clear color, discreet, fine, slow tears.
On the nose, juniper, freshness, the call of summer. Lots of citrus, lemon, the distinctive citron (also called Buddha's hand in Asia) and a return of yuzu.
On the palate, it's warm and soft, very inviting, well-balanced and fluid. Citrus fruits resound and bounce, with lemon handing over to citron, which in turn glides over orange.
Good length on the finish, combining minerality and citrus peel, mainly lemon zest. Nice lemony bitterness.
"A very engaging gin, on the rock slightly chilled or with a chilled tonic, it will delight after a day in the sun..."
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is fresh and spicy, and presents itself as the archetypal dry gin with a refreshing bitterness. A few citrus fruits have been squeezed over the glass, and a few drops of fresh, acidic juice contribute to the summery ambience. The oiliness of the citrus zest becomes more pronounced as time passes.
The palate is sweet and dry at the same time, with a delicate texture imbued with a bitter character, carried by citrus zest and juniper berry. There are a few floral notes, as well as a handful of dark berries such as blueberry and even blackberry.
"A nice dry gin, for very refreshing cocktails..."
