Gin Juillet is the first gin from Provence, created by the brilliant Guillaume Ferroni. As usual, he collected old recipes from old books. These books told him to macerate his botanicals directly in his little still (which dates back to 1800!).
The gin is made fromorganic wheat alcohol, and fruit is also part of the recipe. Apricots, melons and white peaches are typical of July in Provence.
Pauline's tasting notes
The nose opens with juniper. An almost medicinal dimension fades, revealing bergamot and yellow fruit.
The initially floral palate evolves on notes of white peach and citrus.
The bergamot returns on the finish.
