Tasting note from Thomas
The nose is generous but knows how to show restraint. We have delicately poached pears, accompanied by cinnamon and nutmeg. A subtle note of lemon blends in with the whole, while meringues add a little roundness. We can therefore note a beautiful aromatic precision.
The aeration brings a buttery patina of the most tasty. We also discover bergamot, pomelo, white chocolate and some more powerful spices (pepper). This subtle introduction will end up bringing some slices of pineapple and white peach.
The palate is always full of sunny fruit: white peach, pomelo, melon. The lemon also makes a nice incursion, bringing a clear acidity. The second part of the palate then brings together white chocolate, lemon zest, bergamot and spices (nutmeg, chilli).
The finish is less dense and more ethereal. Indeed, the fruits are more in the background (traces of white peach and melon) while the stars are now lemon zest and spices (cinnamon, ginger, chilli).
" A whisky whose contrasting sweetness works wonders right through to the rich citrus and spice finish..."
