Tasting notes from Thomas

The nose is generous but restrained. Delicately poached pears are accompanied by cinnamon and nutmeg. A subtle note of lemon blends in, while meringues add a little roundness. A fine aromatic precision.

Aeration brings out a delicious buttery patina. We also discover bergamot, pomelo, white chocolate and a few more powerful spices (pepper). This subtle introduction ends with a few slices of pineapple and white peach.

The palate is always full of sunny fruit: white peach, pomelo, melon. Likewise, lemon makes a fine incursion, bringing a clean acidity. The second part of the palate brings together white chocolate, lemon zest, bergamot and spices (nutmeg, pepper).

The finish is less dense and more ethereal. The fruit is more subdued (traces of white peach and melon), while the stars are now lemon zest and spices (cinnamon, ginger, chili).

" A whisky whose contrasting sweetness workswonders right through to the rich citrus and spice finish..."
