This Grosperrin cognac is a 1986 vintage from a small estate in the Fins Bois geographical area. This highly heterogeneous terroir is the largest production area in the Cognac region.
This is a batch of 2 barrels that the winegrower had deposited with ORECO since its distillation (Organisation Économique du Cognac). It remained there until its arrival in the Grosperrin cellars several years ago. In the meantime, the barrels have changed owners several times, without changing storage location.
Apart from a little water added gradually during aging, it underwent no special treatment or additives when bottled in September 2018.
This cognac is representative of the Fins Bois from the appellation's noble limestone soils, which have nothing to envy the most prestigious crus.
