This Grosperrin is a 1990 vintage cognac from a winegrower in the commune of Bonneville, in the Fins Bois production zone.
This small estate in the locality of Patreville is typical of family-run operations in the region. That year's harvest was stored at the state-controlled ORECO (Organisation Économique du Cognac) from distillation until June 2012. On that date, Guilhem Grosperrin became the owner. It has since been stored in the cellars of Maison Grosperrin, on the banks of the Charente. A very gradual addition of water enabled a slight reduction in its alcohol content during this ageing period.
The cognac underwent no special treatment or additives during bottling in January 2021.
