Grosperrin 55 ans Petite Champagne 41,3°: Description and customer reviews

This Grosperrin 55 ans Petite Champagne cognac comes from a family of merchants who have been in business for several generations. To this day, it still holds cognac from before the phylloxera crisis, which destroyed most of France's vineyards at the end of the 19th century.

This bottle is part of a very old batch. The château that housed this lot was occupied by the Germans during the last world war.

Jean Grosperrin certifies that this cognac, dated by carbon 14, dates from at least 1944, a fact recognized by French customs. Its origins go back even further, but as some of the administrative documents needed for this recognition were lost or destroyed during the occupation of the château, it has not been possible to indicate them.

This cognac has undergone no preparation other than light filtration. Its degree has been reduced by natural evaporation alone.
