Hatozaki whisky is a blend produced by the Kaikyo distillery in Akashi, Japan. Its history began in 1917, with the Yonezawa family, who originally brewed sake, but decided to diversify into spirits. The Kaikyo distillery was born when it celebrated 100 years of production. Two stills were installed for the occasion, and the Yonezawa family began producing Hatozaki Blended whisky.
A blend of malt and grain, Hatozaki Blended whisky is aged in a variety of casks, including ex-Bourbon, ex-Sherry and even Minzunara oak casks, enhancing its aromatic profile of cereal and fruit flavors.
Smooth and supple, Hatozaki Blended whisky is the ideal introduction to the world of Japanese whiskies.
