Hendrick's Gin 41.4°: Description and customer reviews

Hendrick's Gin is distilled in 2 types of still, in South Ayrshire, in the south ofScotland.

Tasting notes from Thomas

The nose is reminiscent of a spring gin. Indeed, floral notes (roses, honeysuckle) and cucumber offer a singular lightness. Gradually, these notes are overtaken by more classic scents, from juniper and angelica to lemon peel, coriander and a hint of cut grass. It's a fresh opening, despite a rather diversified style.

The palate is more vegetal. Juniper berries, coriander and cut grass provide a vigorous opening, before lemon zest takes over. Floral markers are nevertheless present via a bouquet of roses. Cucumber then adds freshness, while spices (cumin, nutmeg) grow stronger.

The finish is well built around a slight bitterness (vegetal and lemony). The return to rose petals and cucumbers is then palpable.

" A gin that asserts itself through its rose, planted on classic but traditional ground ... "

If you like it, we recommend :

  • A gin that draws its freshness from the predominance of citrus fruit...
  • A Mediterranean gin that's still very summery...
