Héritiers Madkaud Vieux Cuvée Renaissance is an agricultural rum with a strength of 40°. This vintage benefits from the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée Martinique.
This is a rum distilled in Sainte Marie from the pure juice of sugar cane. The cane fields benefit from the climate of the North Atlantic basin. Aging takes place in oak barrels for 3 to 4 years. Once the different barrels have been blended, this cuvée is reduced before bottling.
Like the Cuvée Renaissance white rum, this selection has been around since 2007 and took on the name "cuvée renaissance" in 2017 to mark the 160th anniversary of Félicien Madkaud's birth.
