Hidden Loot is a spiced rum born of a collaboration between a Charentais family and a major distillery in Panama.
The rum is aged in bourbon barrels on site in Panama, before traveling to Charente, where it is macerated with spices.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose of this spiced rum is sweet and fresh, with powdered sugar and strawberry accents. The exotic fruits are light and tangy, and the banana has an air of confectionery. The spices are delicate and gain in fullness with time. The rest emphasizes the sweetness of vanilla.
The palate is very round from the outset. The rum settles on vanilla and banana or strawberry candy, before a measured attack of spices. Cinnamon gently caresses the taste buds, then the rum returns to a plump coconut marshmallow.
