The 2016 vintage of HSE Extra Vieux Whisky Kilchoman Cask Finish rum gives way to the 2017 vintage.
Aged in July 2017, this pure cane juice rum was bottled in December 2023 after a total aging of around 6 years.
This aging is broken down into two stages: an initial aging of more than 5 years common to the other rums in the HSE range, then a refining of 4 to 5 months in Kilchoman peated whisky barrels.
The family-run Kilchoman Distillery is located on the Scottish island of Islay and produces a high quality peated single malt whisky.
This is an assembly of several barrels which gave rise to 5000 numbered bottles.
