Johnnie Walker Green Label is a 15-year-old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. It is a blend of Scottish single malts from various regions. A total of 12 different single malts have been used to create this cuvée. Among them are whiskies from the Talisker, Linkwood, Cragganmore and Caol Ila distilleries.
Florian's tasting notes
The dress is golden, the tears thick, slow and scattered.
The nose is very slightly peaty, with earth, minerality and lemon. A good presence of caramel and sweet wood, followed by walnut and walnut oil.
On the palate, it's relatively sweet, with honey and caramel, lemon and flowers. Peat comes in second.
The finish is driven by minerality and a hint of herbaceousness.
"Ideal for those wishing to discover Johnnie Walker...".
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is well-balanced, simple and effective, offering us a cereal that's rather round but totally natural and authentic. Wrapped in a light veil of smoke, it bounces on a slightly toasty woodiness, before landing in a basket of fruit.
Aeration brings out the whisky's fruity character, with generous pear flesh, green banana and cherries mingling with citrus peel.
The palate is just like the nose, balanced and pleasant, with cereals that take flight on the side of fresh fruit in a very fine puff of smoke. A light roasting comes into play on the mid-palate, sailing between toasted cereal and toasted oak.
The finish is a little spicier, more precisely peppery, and lemon zest closes the deal.
"A blend that brings together many of the qualities of the scotch whisky world..."
