Formerly known as Kirk et Sweeney 12 ans, this rum comes from the Dominican Republic.
Distilled in Santiago De Los Caballero, it is aged in American oak barrels.
Olivier's tasting notes
The first impression on the nose is of sweet vanilla. Aeration brings out well-caramelized nuts (pecans and chouchous from our childhood).
On the palate, as you'd expect, it's a real treat: dense molasses coats the palate, accompanied by vanilla and a hint of fresh almond.
The finish leaves almond lingering on the palate. Nuts (peanuts) return to the fore, once again coated in caramel, while other aromas gradually fade.
