This La Mauny rum owes its name to the color of the earth in southern Martinique. A new fermentation process has been perfected by the Master Distiller.
La Mauny Blanc Ter Rouj' 45° can be enjoyed neat, or used as the base for a ti punch or cocktail.
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is perfectly translucent.
On the nose, fresh cane, of course! But not only that: floral aromas, influences of white pepper and, more discreetly, tropical fruit. A less dry nose than many agricultural whites.
On the palate, the 45° is very discreet on the attack. When held for a few seconds before swallowing, the alcohol becomes more noticeable, and earthy notes are added to the fresh cane. There's also a strong salty note.
The finish is moderately long, remaining on the salty note while giving a second wind to the floral aromas.
