Laminak is a French whisky produced in the Basque Country by the Brana distillery.
It is produced from a wash (“beer” obtained after malting, brewing and then fermentation) composed of malted barley and corn of the Arto Gorria variety called “Grand Roux Basque”.
The Wash comes from the Brasserie du Pays Basque.
This is followed by a double distillation in the Charente stills and then aging in the distillery's cellars.
Laminak whisky is the result of a blend of batches aged 3, 4 and 5 years. The aging is done in ex-cognac casks and barrels of AOP Irouléguy white wine from Domaine BRANA.
This expression benefited from refining in 200 L Bourbon barrels.
This is a non-chill filtered whisky.
