Laminak French whisky is produced by the Brana distillery in the Basque Country.
It is the result of a partnership with the Brasserie du Pays Basque which ensures a supply of Wash. Wash, composed of malted barley and Arto Gorria variety corn, is a “beer” obtained after malting, brewing and then fermentation.
The whisky is double distilled in the Charente stills then aged in the distillery’s cellars.
It is the result of a blend of batches aged 3, 4 and 5 years. Aging is carried out in ex-cognac barrels and in barrels of AOP Irouléguy white wine from Domaine Brana.
The whisky also benefited from a finish in port casks.
