The Brana house is at the origin of the French whisky Laminak. Located in the Basque Country, it produces its whisky thanks to a partnership with the Brasserie du Pays Basque.
This partnership allows the supply of a quality wash in sufficient quantity. Wash is a “beer” obtained after malting, brewing and then fermentation. Here it comes from malted barley and corn of the Arto Gorria variety.
The whisky, double distilled in Charente stills, benefits from aging in ex-cognac casks and in barrels of AOP Irouléguy white wine from Domaine Brana. This is followed by a blend of batches aged 3, 4 and 5 years, then a refinement in peated whisky casks.
This expression is not chill filtered before bottling.
