The combination of Reunion rum and salted butter caramel is an absolute delight!
In brief: sweet - vanilla - caramel
On the nose, the rum is a concentrate of sweet fruit, like very ripe melon with vanilla accents. Its bubble-gum character gives it an air of confectionery, then it becomes more pastry-like, again with vanilla and aromas of caramel custard.
The palate is quite powerful, spicy and sweet, the salted butter caramel greedy and vanilla.
