In January 2025, the brigantine Tres Hombres , a cargo sailing vessel without an engine, made a stopover in Martinique. On this occasion, the Frères de la Côte (Brothers of the Coast) once again selected an agricultural rum with a unique character for exceptional aging.
The rum first rested for 33 months in ex-Bourbon barrels at the distillery, before being transferred to a finishing cask that previously held French whisky . After a three-month voyage aboard the Tres Hombres, it continued its maturation for four months in the Saint-Étienne cellars of the Frères de la Côte .
A slight reduction brought the final alcohol content to 50% ABV, followed by aging in stainless steel tanks for perfect harmony. The wine was bottled in September 2025.
This Single Cask edition follows the tradition of refining the fine white rums from the La Favorite distillery.
