Manutea Blanc Quintessence is a white rum made from pure cane juice from Tahaa, an island in French Polynesia. Located on the Pari Pari estate on the island of Moorea, the Manutea Tahiti distillery was founded in 1984. It is located at the foot of Mont Rotui, 500 meters from the lagoon, between Cook and Opunohu bays.
The rum is made from Otahiti sugar cane, harvested by hand and crushed on the spot the same day without the addition of water. After transit by schooner, the cane wine is distilled in a copper still on the island of Moorea.
This Quintessence rum is aged in vats for 6 months and slowly reduced by the drip process. The distillery draws its pure, naturally filtered water from the slopes of Mount Rotui, which rises to 899 meters.
