Mauritius Rom Club Caramel is a blend of rums fromMauritius with caramel.
The result is a very smooth liqueur, which can be drunk on its own on the rocks, or mixed into a cocktail. It's a fun, festive drink to share in good company!
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is extremely greedy and pastry-like. You could even say it's very buttery, like coconut and vanilla cake batter. The caramel, too, is truly gourmand, milky and sweet, soft and unctuous. There's an oily, powdery woodiness, like a peanut butter-like nut paste. Aeration allows a few fruits to unfold. They are immediately taken up by the buttery pastry, clearly reminiscent of a strawberry tart.
The palate is very round and sweet. The peanuts stand out fairly quickly, as do the buttery caramels. The texture is pastry-like, velvety despite a slight graininess. A milky sensation sets in, blending with the rum as in a liqueur-like cream.
The finish is as round and rich as ever, with a few spices lingering on the palate, well coated in caramel.
"A real rum liqueur, sweet and very gourmand..."
