The nose is rather light and acidic, with a few powdery, floral touches. Lemon syrup flirts with rosewater and lychees in syrup. A hint of spice emerges, with pepper soaring alongside the alcohol.
Aeration develops the rum's floral side, with increasingly ethereal notes. More prominent, bitter flowers appear, such as geranium. Freshness picks up again, and citrus fruit now introduces an almost minty air.
The palate is tangy, fruity and a little sweet. Grapefruit and lemon first fill the taste buds, before being seized by a fine, fairly dry pepper, almost a little spicy. While a hint of vegetal character emerges, sugarcane is a watermark.
The finish is round and sweet, the rum fading with a hint of cinnamon.
