A traditional rum presented in a bottle wrapped in hand-woven straw, Millonario Solera 15 is the result of an encounter between South American traditions and modern techniques.
Distillation takes place in columns, then the rum is aged in American oak barrels using the solera system. Four rows of barrels allow rums of different ages to harmonize.
Millonario Solera 15 has won several international awards, including the 2014 Spirit Business Master and the 2012 Rum Howler Awards.
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is coppery.
The nose is warm and rich. Flambéed banana, buttered and caramelized, is even accompanied by hazelnuts.
On the palate, you have a candy. It's extremely greedy and sweet. The banana, still flambéed, invades the mouth and is as if coated in soft caramel. Mild spices add the finishing touch.
The finish is long, and while the banana is still present, the walnut, a new arrival, makes its appearance and rounds off this dessert.
