Mombacho 8 ans is the youngest cuvée produced by the Nicaraguan distillery. Its long maturation in small 200-liter oak casks combines with the aromatic contributions of the volcanic terroir of this Central American country. The result is a rum with character, rich in aroma, and seductive in its simplicity.
It's the perfect introduction to tasting the aged rums of Hispanic America.
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is a warm gold.
On the nose, the profile is discreet. A blend of vanilla, caramel and alcohol. A hint of orange is also present.
On the palate, we find the same aromas as on the nose, but with a roasted touch.
The finish is caramel with a slight astringency from the cocoa.
