Tasting notes from Thomas
The nose is rich, relaying the intermingling of the various ingredients. Juniper berries are not very prominent. However, there are elderberry candies, flowers (hibiscus, jasmine), a touch of cola and a light woodiness (cedar). Citrus fruits are present in the background, but only slightly (pomelo). We have to wait a few moments to discover lime, camphor, coriander and a sort of potpourri.
The palate is clean. Citrus fruits are more clearly expressed (lime, lemon, orange), accompanied by spices (Sichuan pepper, cinnamon). Refreshing herbal notes then take center stage, with coriander, cut grass, juniper berries and camphor. There are also occasional hints of cedar, orgeat and star anise.
The finish is fresh, carried by the brightness of camphor, the quiet strength of Sichuan pepper and the personality of citrus fruits (lime, orange). A touch of coriander, pepper, lime and a floral note (potpourri) remain.
" A diversified gin that becomes very legible on the palate, inviting citrus, vegetation and spices... "
