In brief: lively - fresh - vegetal - cane - citrus zest - pepper
The nose of this rum is vegetal and lively, with a certain citrus acidity that places it on the side of dry rums. The vegetal aspect of the cane is expressed through its fiber and the sensation of the expression of a terroir. In the background, the roundness typical of Guadeloupe rums is evident.
On aeration, the rum is even more lively and sharp. Fermentation notes are slightly spicy, and citrus zest adds bitterness. The cane then becomes very silky, the rum is fresh and glides lightly under the nose. The balance comes with a very herbaceous register and chlorophyll.
On the palate, the impression is round and savory. The lime zest is biting and then gives way to a full-bodied cane with candied fiber. We take our time admiring this cane, which is alternately vegetal and earthy. This is a simple, authentic rhum agricole, with a distinctive pepperiness.
The finish continues on this tasty path, with sweet pepper, then leaves the taste buds fresh and clear.
