Nikka The Grain whisky is a bottling from the "Discovery" collection. This series began in 2021 to celebrate 90 years of Nikka.
This is a blend of grain whiskies from Nikka's 4 distilleries.
There are no fewer than 7 different styles of grain whisky, including :
- Coffey Grain and Coffey Malt produced at Miyagikyo,
- the former Coffey Grain of corn and malted barley and Coffey Malt (100% malted barley) from the Nishinomiya distillery, closed in 1998,
- Barley Grain from Moji (malted and unmalted barley) distilled in an iron still,
- Barley Grain and Corn & Rye (rye, corn and malted barley) distilled in an iron still from Satsumatsukasa.
Aged in American oak barrels.
