Ki No Bi Sei Kyoto Dry Gin 54. 5% is a Japanese gin produced in Kyoto. It's based on rice alcohol, then 11 local botanicals enrich the recipe. These include Orris root (a variety of iris), Hinoki bark (Japanese cypress) and red Shiso leaves. These ingredients are classified into 6 categories, macerated and then distilled one by one. After a good rest, the distillates are reduced withpure Fushimi water.
This special edition is bottled at 54.5%, the historic British Navy strength. The "Sei" ("power" in Japanese) brings more intensity and presence to the palate, which will be very interesting in cocktails.
