Nine Leaves “Four of Isu” is one of the 5 vintages of the Unsun Karuta range presented in 2024 as part of the Foundations collection.
This is a rum distilled by the Nine Leaves distillery in 2017. Dismantled at the end of 2023, this Japanese distillery had to part with the last barrels in aging. The independent bottler La Maison & Velier then acquired all the remaining batches. Among these, 4 ex-bourbon oak barrels were able to be assembled to give birth to this expression.
For his rum, Yoshiharu Takeuchi has chosen to work with exceptional raw materials. The Kokuto sugar comes from the Okinawa archipelago and the water, as pure as possible, comes from a source close to the distillery.
