Under the blazing Caribbean sun, the Oliver & Oliver house, based in the Dominican Republic, crafts rums that combine tradition and refinement. Among its rarest creations, Opthimus Magna Cum Laude occupies a special place, the result of careful selection and patient aging. Each drop of this rum embodies the high standards and expertise of the Oliver family, heirs to a long Cuban tradition brought to the Dominican Republic.
The raw material comes from sugarcane molasses, carefully fermented before being distilled. The resulting distillate is then entrusted to time, which plays its essential role in the house's cellars. Aging is carried out according to the Solera method, an ancestral process that allows different vintages to be blended in a continuous exchange between generations of casks. This patient maturation process is carried out in American and European oak barrels, former guardians of great whiskies and sherries, which impart depth and complexity to the rum.
Opthimus Magna Cum Laude is distinguished by its 42.2% ABV bottling strength, a balance designed to preserve the aromatic richness acquired over the years, while offering controlled elegance. This rare vintage is produced in very limited quantities, each bottle being numbered, proof of its exclusivity.
