Pichincha 14 ans is a traditional molasses rum. It belongs to the tradition of Spanish rones. Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2013, it spent 14 years in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. This type of sherry is the smoothest you can find, so the use of its cask brings great roundness to the rum.
It is one of a series of Ecuadorian rums offered by the Italian company F&G. It takes its name from the Guagua Pichincha volcano overlooking Quita, the capital ofEcuador.
