This Plantation Bourbon Cask Finish is a 1998 vintage molasses rum, produced by the Long Pond distillery in Jamaica.
The molasses underwent a particularly long week-long fermentation before being distilled in a Blair column still. The rum then spent 20 years on site in bourbon oak casks, followed by 2 years in France at Château de Bonbonnet in Ferrand cognac casks. A third stage of maturation gave it a further 10 months in an American oak barrel containing Bardstown Fusion Series bourbon.
This unique cask was bottled in 2021. Each bottle is numbered.
