Plantation's Rye Whiskey Cask Finish is a 14-year-old molasses rum produced by the Alcoholes Del Istmo distillery in Panama.
The molasses was fermented for 3 days, then distilled in a column still. The rum was aged for 11 years on site in American white Bourbon oak barrels, and for 2 years in Cognac Ferrand barrels in the cellars of Château de Bonbonnet, in southwestern France. Finally, it was transferred for a further 1 year to a unique New York Distilling Company cask that had previously contained Rye Whiskey.
Bottling took place in 2021. Each bottle is numbered.
