Planteray Fiji Single Cask 2009-2025 is a limited edition with an unconventional maturation story. While Planteray rums are generally characterized by double aging, this exceptional vintage has benefited from triple aging, shaping a remarkably rich aromatic profile.
After 9 years of maturation in ex-bourbon casks under the tropical climate of Fiji, the rum continued its evolution for 2 years and 4 months in a cask from Maison Ferrand , before undergoing a final maturation of 4 years and 6 months in a Kilchoman peated whisky cask .
The last two aging phases were carried out in Planteray's continental cellars, adding an extra dimension to the balance and complexity of the spirit.
This exceptional maturation process gives rise to a rum of great depth, where the richness of the Fijian distillate blends with delicate woody, spicy and smoky notes.
