Pyrat XO is a very old traditional rum produced by Patron Spirits.
It is a blend of several rums from different regions of the Caribbean. The oldest of these rums are 15 years old. Maturation takes place in American oak barrels and Limousin oak casks.
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is amber-orange.
On the nose, citrus aromas (orange and lemon) dominate. It also has a vegetal, even medicinal aspect. Slight notes of spice are also present.
On the palate, it's sweet and the orange carries off - almost - everything in its path. A slight acidity and bitterness make you think of zest. The timid spicy notes are still there.
The finish is long and citrusy.
