Meermaid Infused Rum is an arranged rum created in Germany in 2004 after several attempts to combine quality rums, fruits and exotic spices.
It was finally decided to let the chosen ingredients infuse naturally into the rum, and thus Meermaid Infused Rum was born.
This rum is handcrafted in small batches. The blend on which it is based is made up of rums from Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica.
After two weeks of infusion, the fresh fruit, dried fruit and spices are removed before the contents are bottled.
No filtration or sugar is added.
While this rum can be served dry or "on the rocks", it goes well with a ginger beer.
Laurent's tasting notes
Her dress is straw.
On the nose, this rum offers a fine assortment of many different aromas. Spices (nutmeg, cinnamon and curry), citrus (orange and lemon) and light tea notes make up the profile. The alcohol is fairly discreet and the whole is fresh.
On the palate, the attack is soft, then becomes drier. Orange and spice are the dominant notes.
The finish is very long, with spices and orange zest.
Marie Birot
Very good, refined, fruity without being sweet.

nice container, less exotic content... too bad.
