Quorhum 12 ans is a molasses rum resulting from a blend of eaux-de-vie from the Caribbean and Central America. This blend was created by Cuban and Dominican maestros roneros at Oliver & Oliver in the Dominican Republic.

The various rums come from a Solera that includes young distillates, as well as old and very old rums. A proportion of blended "mother" rums is also included. The barrels used are new French oak, American oak and ex-bourbon. The weighted average age of the blend is 12 years.

Only 3,000 bottles were produced.

On the nose, the almond nougatine immediately sends out a signal of greed. The roundness is balanced at this point, as the nuts add texture and intensity. The heart of the rum is fruity and sweet, like a red fruit syrup. The mellow sweet spices begin to give us an increasingly suave vision of what lies ahead.

Aeration and rest give the rum time to concentrate into a golden syrup dotted with sweet spices. A few slightly roasted notes wrap around, simply to bring out a darker hue.

The palate is very soft and velvety, and relies above all on this very flattering texture. Mild spices such as vanilla are at its service, without trying to show off too much. A slight roasted character appears in the mid-palate, before being immediately taken up by a drop of melting caramel.

The finish is round and vanilla-like, with a full-bodied pipe tobacco flavor.
