ReimonenQ heart of heating is first distilled from pure cane juice fermented in a column still. Then the rum then stays in stainless steel vats to be finally bottled after reduction to 50°.
ReimonenQ cœur de chauffe has won numerous medals at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose opens quickly to a round, fragrant cane. Its velvety side touches the flesh of the mango, then the rum becomes livelier on contact with the lime. The bagasse is candied and very slightly peppery, while the vegetal side is equally round.
Aeration gives us a full-bodied, sweet white rum, like a ready-made ti'punch. The lime notes are delicate and nuanced, and the bagasse readily gives way to the full-bodied cane juice.
The palate is straightforward, like a straight, peppery cane. The bagasse expresses itself much more, giving this rhum agricole a rustic edge. You'd expect nothing less from an authentic rum like this. The mid-palate is slightly spicy, but also gripped by the bitterness of lime zest.
The finish is round and sweet, with the cane taking on a fruity veil of pear and plum.
"Simple, effective and authentic, a perfect companion for ti'punch..."
