ReimonenQ Kou de Foudre is an agricultural rum produced by Guadeloupe's ReimonenQ.
This rum made from pure sugarcane juice is distilled in a 4-function double column that is unique in the French West Indies. This distillation process is identical to that used for JR cuvée spéciale rum.
It is then aged in new French oak barrels. Finally, it finishes its ageing in ex-bourbon American oak barrels.
The name given to this rum is the brainchild of Monsieur Reimonenq. "Kou de Foudre" refers to the aging process that takes place in 600-liter casks, also known as "foudres".
